description (CohortClass.description) is a field stored on each cohort class record in Chalk, the higher-education academic operations platform for curriculum, assessment, faculty, scheduling, accreditation, and budget. It holds a String value and is part of the cohort class record's data. The description field belongs to the cohort class it is recorded on, so faculty, staff, and automations read or set description while working with that CohortClass record. Because description is part of the CohortClass record, it stays consistent with the rest of that record's data and is scoped to the tenant that owns the cohort class.
