The CohortClass record (CohortClass) is a record type in Chalk, the higher-education academic operations platform for curriculum, assessment, faculty, scheduling, accreditation, and budget. Each CohortClass row is scoped to a tenant and stores fields such as id, tenantId, sectionId, title, description, roomId, timeBlockId, instructorId, dayOfWeek, date. These fields hold the data Chalk needs to track a cohort class as faculty, staff, and automations work with it. Because every CohortClass row carries a tenantId, one institution's cohort class data is never visible to another.
