The CohortDerivedAttribute record (CohortDerivedAttribute) is a record type in Chalk, the higher-education academic operations platform for curriculum, assessment, faculty, scheduling, accreditation, and budget. Each CohortDerivedAttribute row is scoped to a tenant and stores fields such as id, tenantId, sessionId, key, label, expression, createdAt, updatedAt, tenant, session. These fields hold the data Chalk needs to track a cohort derived attribute as faculty, staff, and automations work with it. Because every CohortDerivedAttribute row carries a tenantId, one institution's cohort derived attribute data is never visible to another.
