expression (CohortDerivedAttribute.expression) is a field stored on each cohort derived attribute record in Chalk, the higher-education academic operations platform for curriculum, assessment, faculty, scheduling, accreditation, and budget. It holds a Json value and is part of the cohort derived attribute record's data. The expression field belongs to the cohort derived attribute it is recorded on, so faculty, staff, and automations read or set expression while working with that CohortDerivedAttribute record. Because expression is part of the CohortDerivedAttribute record, it stays consistent with the rest of that record's data and is scoped to the tenant that owns the cohort derived attribute.
