session id (CohortParticipant.sessionId) is a field stored on each cohort participant record in Chalk, the higher-education academic operations platform for curriculum, assessment, faculty, scheduling, accreditation, and budget. It holds a String value and is part of the cohort participant record's data. The sessionId field belongs to the cohort participant it is recorded on, so faculty, staff, and automations read or set sessionId while working with that CohortParticipant record. Because sessionId is part of the CohortParticipant record, it stays consistent with the rest of that record's data and is scoped to the tenant that owns the cohort participant.
