The CohortParticipant record (CohortParticipant) is a record type in Chalk, the higher-education academic operations platform for curriculum, assessment, faculty, scheduling, accreditation, and budget. Each CohortParticipant row is scoped to a tenant and stores fields such as id, tenantId, sessionId, externalId, firstName, lastName, email, attributes, createdAt, updatedAt. These fields hold the data Chalk needs to track a cohort participant as faculty, staff, and automations work with it. Because every CohortParticipant row carries a tenantId, one institution's cohort participant data is never visible to another.
