session id (CohortSection.sessionId) is a field stored on each cohort section record in Chalk, the higher-education academic operations platform for curriculum, assessment, faculty, scheduling, accreditation, and budget. It holds a String value and is part of the cohort section record's data. The sessionId field belongs to the cohort section it is recorded on, so faculty, staff, and automations read or set sessionId while working with that CohortSection record. Because sessionId is part of the CohortSection record, it stays consistent with the rest of that record's data and is scoped to the tenant that owns the cohort section.
