The CohortSection record (CohortSection) is a record type in Chalk, the higher-education academic operations platform for curriculum, assessment, faculty, scheduling, accreditation, and budget. Each CohortSection row is scoped to a tenant and stores fields such as id, tenantId, sessionId, label, color, capacity, targetGroupCount, targetGroupSize, isRestricted, sortOrder. These fields hold the data Chalk needs to track a cohort section as faculty, staff, and automations work with it. Because every CohortSection row carries a tenantId, one institution's cohort section data is never visible to another.
