alternatives (Decision.alternatives) is a field stored on each decision record in Chalk, the higher-education academic operations platform for curriculum, assessment, faculty, scheduling, accreditation, and budget. It holds a Json value and is part of the decision record's data. The alternatives field belongs to the decision it is recorded on, so faculty, staff, and automations read or set alternatives while working with that Decision record. Because alternatives is part of the Decision record, it stays consistent with the rest of that record's data and is scoped to the tenant that owns the decision.
