Decision

The Decision record (Decision) is a record type in Chalk, the higher-education academic operations platform for curriculum, assessment, faculty, scheduling, accreditation, and budget. Each Decision row is scoped to a tenant and stores fields such as id, tenantId, departmentId, title, context, rationale, alternatives, outcome, outcomeNotes, category. These fields hold the data Chalk needs to track a decision as faculty, staff, and automations work with it. Because every Decision row carries a tenantId, one institution's decision data is never visible to another.
