Equipment — purchase date

purchase date (Equipment.purchaseDate) is a field stored on each equipment record in Chalk, the higher-education academic operations platform for curriculum, assessment, faculty, scheduling, accreditation, and budget. It holds a DateTime value and is part of the equipment record's data. The purchaseDate field belongs to the equipment it is recorded on, so faculty, staff, and automations read or set purchaseDate while working with that Equipment record. Because purchaseDate is part of the Equipment record, it stays consistent with the rest of that record's data and is scoped to the tenant that owns the equipment.
