Equipment — purchase price

purchase price (Equipment.purchasePrice) is a field stored on each equipment record in Chalk, the higher-education academic operations platform for curriculum, assessment, faculty, scheduling, accreditation, and budget. It holds a Float value and is part of the equipment record's data. The purchasePrice field belongs to the equipment it is recorded on, so faculty, staff, and automations read or set purchasePrice while working with that Equipment record. Because purchasePrice is part of the Equipment record, it stays consistent with the rest of that record's data and is scoped to the tenant that owns the equipment.
