Faculty member — first name

first name (FacultyMember.firstName) is a field stored on each faculty member record in Chalk, the higher-education academic operations platform for curriculum, assessment, faculty, scheduling, accreditation, and budget. It holds a String value and is part of the faculty member record's data. The firstName field belongs to the faculty member it is recorded on, so faculty, staff, and automations read or set firstName while working with that FacultyMember record. Because firstName is part of the FacultyMember record, it stays consistent with the rest of that record's data and is scoped to the tenant that owns the faculty member.
