The FacultyMember record (FacultyMember) is a record type in Chalk, the higher-education academic operations platform for curriculum, assessment, faculty, scheduling, accreditation, and budget. Each FacultyMember row is scoped to a tenant and stores fields such as id, tenantId, departmentId, userId, firstName, lastName, email, rank, status, specialization. These fields hold the data Chalk needs to track a faculty member as faculty, staff, and automations work with it. Because every FacultyMember row carries a tenantId, one institution's faculty member data is never visible to another.
