Faculty member — hire date

hire date (FacultyMember.hireDate) is a field stored on each faculty member record in Chalk, the higher-education academic operations platform for curriculum, assessment, faculty, scheduling, accreditation, and budget. It holds a DateTime value and is part of the faculty member record's data. The hireDate field belongs to the faculty member it is recorded on, so faculty, staff, and automations read or set hireDate while working with that FacultyMember record. Because hireDate is part of the FacultyMember record, it stays consistent with the rest of that record's data and is scoped to the tenant that owns the faculty member.
