Faculty member — user id

user id (FacultyMember.userId) is a field stored on each faculty member record in Chalk, the higher-education academic operations platform for curriculum, assessment, faculty, scheduling, accreditation, and budget. It holds a String value and is part of the faculty member record's data. The userId field belongs to the faculty member it is recorded on, so faculty, staff, and automations read or set userId while working with that FacultyMember record. Because userId is part of the FacultyMember record, it stays consistent with the rest of that record's data and is scoped to the tenant that owns the faculty member.
