Fund transaction — amount

amount (FundTransaction.amount) is a field stored on each fund transaction record in Chalk, the higher-education academic operations platform for curriculum, assessment, faculty, scheduling, accreditation, and budget. It holds a Float value and is part of the fund transaction record's data. The amount field belongs to the fund transaction it is recorded on, so faculty, staff, and automations read or set amount while working with that FundTransaction record. Because amount is part of the FundTransaction record, it stays consistent with the rest of that record's data and is scoped to the tenant that owns the fund transaction.
