The FundTransaction record (FundTransaction) is a record type in Chalk, the higher-education academic operations platform for curriculum, assessment, faculty, scheduling, accreditation, and budget. Each FundTransaction row is scoped to a tenant and stores fields such as id, tenantId, fundId, type, amount, description, budgetNodeId, budgetTransactionId, recordedBy, approvedBy. These fields hold the data Chalk needs to track a fund transaction as faculty, staff, and automations work with it. Because every FundTransaction row carries a tenantId, one institution's fund transaction data is never visible to another.
