Instructor preference — faculty id

faculty id (InstructorPreference.facultyId) is a field stored on each instructor preference record in Chalk, the higher-education academic operations platform for curriculum, assessment, faculty, scheduling, accreditation, and budget. It holds a String value and is part of the instructor preference record's data. The facultyId field belongs to the instructor preference it is recorded on, so faculty, staff, and automations read or set facultyId while working with that InstructorPreference record. Because facultyId is part of the InstructorPreference record, it stays consistent with the rest of that record's data and is scoped to the tenant that owns the instructor preference.
