The InstructorPreference record (InstructorPreference) is a record type in Chalk, the higher-education academic operations platform for curriculum, assessment, faculty, scheduling, accreditation, and budget. Each InstructorPreference row is scoped to a tenant and stores fields such as id, tenantId, facultyId, termId, preferenceType, preferenceKey, level, notes, createdAt, updatedAt. These fields hold the data Chalk needs to track a instructor preference as faculty, staff, and automations work with it. Because every InstructorPreference row carries a tenantId, one institution's instructor preference data is never visible to another.
