created by (MapSnapshot.createdBy) is a field stored on each map snapshot record in Chalk, the higher-education academic operations platform for curriculum, assessment, faculty, scheduling, accreditation, and budget. It holds a String value and is part of the map snapshot record's data. The createdBy field belongs to the map snapshot it is recorded on, so faculty, staff, and automations read or set createdBy while working with that MapSnapshot record. Because createdBy is part of the MapSnapshot record, it stays consistent with the rest of that record's data and is scoped to the tenant that owns the map snapshot.
