It holds a String value and is part of the process step record's data. The tenantId field belongs to the process step it is recorded on, so faculty, staff, and automations read or set tenantId while working with that ProcessStep record. Because tenantId is part of the ProcessStep record, it stays consistent with the rest of that record's data and is scoped to the tenant that owns the process step.
