The fundingSource field belongs to the professional development it is recorded on, so faculty, staff, and automations read or set fundingSource while working with that ProfessionalDevelopment record. Because fundingSource is part of the ProfessionalDevelopment record, it stays consistent with the rest of that record's data and is scoped to the tenant that owns the professional development.
