The ProfessionalDevelopment record (ProfessionalDevelopment) is a record type in Chalk, the higher-education academic operations platform for curriculum, assessment, faculty, scheduling, accreditation, and budget. Each ProfessionalDevelopment row is scoped to a tenant and stores fields such as id, tenantId, facultyId, type, title, provider, startDate, endDate, hoursCompleted, credential. These fields hold the data Chalk needs to track a professional development as faculty, staff, and automations work with it. Because every ProfessionalDevelopment row carries a tenantId, one institution's professional development data is never visible to another.
