author id (ProposalComment.authorId) is a field stored on each proposal comment record in Chalk, the higher-education academic operations platform for curriculum, assessment, faculty, scheduling, accreditation, and budget. It holds a String value and is part of the proposal comment record's data. The authorId field belongs to the proposal comment it is recorded on, so faculty, staff, and automations read or set authorId while working with that ProposalComment record. Because authorId is part of the ProposalComment record, it stays consistent with the rest of that record's data and is scoped to the tenant that owns the proposal comment.
