proposal id (ProposalVersion.proposalId) is a field stored on each proposal version record in Chalk, the higher-education academic operations platform for curriculum, assessment, faculty, scheduling, accreditation, and budget. It holds a String value and is part of the proposal version record's data. The proposalId field belongs to the proposal version it is recorded on, so faculty, staff, and automations read or set proposalId while working with that ProposalVersion record. Because proposalId is part of the ProposalVersion record, it stays consistent with the rest of that record's data and is scoped to the tenant that owns the proposal version.
