level (Role.level) is a field stored on each role record in Chalk, the higher-education academic operations platform for curriculum, assessment, faculty, scheduling, accreditation, and budget. It holds a Int value and is part of the role record's data. The level field belongs to the role it is recorded on, so faculty, staff, and automations read or set level while working with that Role record. Because level is part of the Role record, it stays consistent with the rest of that record's data and is scoped to the tenant that owns the role.
