Role

The Role record (Role) is a record type in Chalk, the higher-education academic operations platform for curriculum, assessment, faculty, scheduling, accreditation, and budget. Each Role row is scoped to a tenant and stores fields such as id, tenantId, name, description, isSystem, level, createdAt, updatedAt, tenant, permissions. These fields hold the data Chalk needs to track a role as faculty, staff, and automations work with it. Because every Role row carries a tenantId, one institution's role data is never visible to another.
