permission id (RolePermission.permissionId) is a field stored on each role permission record in Chalk, the higher-education academic operations platform for curriculum, assessment, faculty, scheduling, accreditation, and budget. It holds a String value and is part of the role permission record's data. The permissionId field belongs to the role permission it is recorded on, so faculty, staff, and automations read or set permissionId while working with that RolePermission record. Because permissionId is part of the RolePermission record, it stays consistent with the rest of that record's data and is scoped to the tenant that owns the role permission.
