tenant id (Room.tenantId) is a field stored on each room record in Chalk, the higher-education academic operations platform for curriculum, assessment, faculty, scheduling, accreditation, and budget. It holds a String value and is part of the room record's data. The tenantId field belongs to the room it is recorded on, so faculty, staff, and automations read or set tenantId while working with that Room record. Because tenantId is part of the Room record, it stays consistent with the rest of that record's data and is scoped to the tenant that owns the room.
