Rubric — department id

department id (Rubric.departmentId) is a field stored on each rubric record in Chalk, the higher-education academic operations platform for curriculum, assessment, faculty, scheduling, accreditation, and budget. It holds a String value and is part of the rubric record's data. The departmentId field belongs to the rubric it is recorded on, so faculty, staff, and automations read or set departmentId while working with that Rubric record. Because departmentId is part of the Rubric record, it stays consistent with the rest of that record's data and is scoped to the tenant that owns the rubric.
