It holds a Float value and is part of the scholarly work record's data. The grantAmount field belongs to the scholarly work it is recorded on, so faculty, staff, and automations read or set grantAmount while working with that ScholarlyWork record. Because grantAmount is part of the ScholarlyWork record, it stays consistent with the rest of that record's data and is scoped to the tenant that owns the scholarly work.
