tags (ScholarlyWork.tags) is a field stored on each scholarly work record in Chalk, the higher-education academic operations platform for curriculum, assessment, faculty, scheduling, accreditation, and budget. It holds a String[] value and is part of the scholarly work record's data. The tags field belongs to the scholarly work it is recorded on, so faculty, staff, and automations read or set tags while working with that ScholarlyWork record. Because tags is part of the ScholarlyWork record, it stays consistent with the rest of that record's data and is scoped to the tenant that owns the scholarly work.
