Section assignment — faculty id

faculty id (SectionAssignment.facultyId) is a field stored on each section assignment record in Chalk, the higher-education academic operations platform for curriculum, assessment, faculty, scheduling, accreditation, and budget. It holds a String value and is part of the section assignment record's data. The facultyId field belongs to the section assignment it is recorded on, so faculty, staff, and automations read or set facultyId while working with that SectionAssignment record. Because facultyId is part of the SectionAssignment record, it stays consistent with the rest of that record's data and is scoped to the tenant that owns the section assignment.
