Service record — role

role (ServiceRecord.role) is a field stored on each service record record in Chalk, the higher-education academic operations platform for curriculum, assessment, faculty, scheduling, accreditation, and budget. It holds a String value and is part of the service record record's data. The role field belongs to the service record it is recorded on, so faculty, staff, and automations read or set role while working with that ServiceRecord record. Because role is part of the ServiceRecord record, it stays consistent with the rest of that record's data and is scoped to the tenant that owns the service record.
