Service record — start date

start date (ServiceRecord.startDate) is a field stored on each service record record in Chalk, the higher-education academic operations platform for curriculum, assessment, faculty, scheduling, accreditation, and budget. It holds a DateTime value and is part of the service record record's data. The startDate field belongs to the service record it is recorded on, so faculty, staff, and automations read or set startDate while working with that ServiceRecord record. Because startDate is part of the ServiceRecord record, it stays consistent with the rest of that record's data and is scoped to the tenant that owns the service record.
