tenant id (ServiceRecord.tenantId) is a field stored on each service record record in Chalk, the higher-education academic operations platform for curriculum, assessment, faculty, scheduling, accreditation, and budget. It holds a String value and is part of the service record record's data. The tenantId field belongs to the service record it is recorded on, so faculty, staff, and automations read or set tenantId while working with that ServiceRecord record. Because tenantId is part of the ServiceRecord record, it stays consistent with the rest of that record's data and is scoped to the tenant that owns the service record.
