The StudentCohort record (StudentCohort) is a record type in Chalk, the higher-education academic operations platform for curriculum, assessment, faculty, scheduling, accreditation, and budget. Each StudentCohort row is scoped to a tenant and stores fields such as id, tenantId, programId, cohortYear, entryCount, year1Retained, year2Retained, year3Retained, graduated, avgTimeToGrad. These fields hold the data Chalk needs to track a student cohort as faculty, staff, and automations work with it. Because every StudentCohort row carries a tenantId, one institution's student cohort data is never visible to another.
