cohort year (StudentCohort.cohortYear) is a field stored on each student cohort record in Chalk, the higher-education academic operations platform for curriculum, assessment, faculty, scheduling, accreditation, and budget. It holds a Int value and is part of the student cohort record's data. The cohortYear field belongs to the student cohort it is recorded on, so faculty, staff, and automations read or set cohortYear while working with that StudentCohort record. Because cohortYear is part of the StudentCohort record, it stays consistent with the rest of that record's data and is scoped to the tenant that owns the student cohort.
