The courseCode field belongs to the teaching record it is recorded on, so faculty, staff, and automations read or set courseCode while working with that TeachingRecord record. Because courseCode is part of the TeachingRecord record, it stays consistent with the rest of that record's data and is scoped to the tenant that owns the teaching record.
