data query (TemplateSection.dataQuery) is a field stored on each template section record in Chalk, the higher-education academic operations platform for curriculum, assessment, faculty, scheduling, accreditation, and budget. It holds a Json value and is part of the template section record's data. The dataQuery field belongs to the template section it is recorded on, so faculty, staff, and automations read or set dataQuery while working with that TemplateSection record. Because dataQuery is part of the TemplateSection record, it stays consistent with the rest of that record's data and is scoped to the tenant that owns the template section.
