It holds a String value and is part of the template variable record's data. The tenantId field belongs to the template variable it is recorded on, so faculty, staff, and automations read or set tenantId while working with that TemplateVariable record. Because tenantId is part of the TemplateVariable record, it stays consistent with the rest of that record's data and is scoped to the tenant that owns the template variable.
