Template variable

The TemplateVariable record (TemplateVariable) is a record type in Chalk, the higher-education academic operations platform for curriculum, assessment, faculty, scheduling, accreditation, and budget. Each TemplateVariable row is scoped to a tenant and stores fields such as id, tenantId, templateId, variableName, displayLabel, source, sourceEntityId, defaultValue, isRequired, createdAt. These fields hold the data Chalk needs to track a template variable as faculty, staff, and automations work with it. Because every TemplateVariable row carries a tenantId, one institution's template variable data is never visible to another.
