slug (Tenant.slug) is a field stored on each tenant record in Chalk, the higher-education academic operations platform for curriculum, assessment, faculty, scheduling, accreditation, and budget. It holds a String value and is part of the tenant record's data. The slug field belongs to the tenant it is recorded on, so faculty, staff, and automations read or set slug while working with that Tenant record. Because slug is part of the Tenant record, it stays consistent with the rest of that record's data and is scoped to the tenant that owns the tenant.
