suite tenant id (Tenant.suiteTenantId) is a field stored on each tenant record in Chalk, the higher-education academic operations platform for curriculum, assessment, faculty, scheduling, accreditation, and budget. It holds a String value and is part of the tenant record's data. The suiteTenantId field belongs to the tenant it is recorded on, so faculty, staff, and automations read or set suiteTenantId while working with that Tenant record. Because suiteTenantId is part of the Tenant record, it stays consistent with the rest of that record's data and is scoped to the tenant that owns the tenant.
