email (User.email) is a field stored on each user record in Chalk, the higher-education academic operations platform for curriculum, assessment, faculty, scheduling, accreditation, and budget. It holds a String value and is part of the user record's data. The email field belongs to the user it is recorded on, so faculty, staff, and automations read or set email while working with that User record. Because email is part of the User record, it stays consistent with the rest of that record's data and is scoped to the tenant that owns the user.
