proposal id (Vote.proposalId) is a field stored on each vote record in Chalk, the higher-education academic operations platform for curriculum, assessment, faculty, scheduling, accreditation, and budget. It holds a String value and is part of the vote record's data. The proposalId field belongs to the vote it is recorded on, so faculty, staff, and automations read or set proposalId while working with that Vote record. Because proposalId is part of the Vote record, it stays consistent with the rest of that record's data and is scoped to the tenant that owns the vote.
