The Vote record (Vote) is a record type in Chalk, the higher-education academic operations platform for curriculum, assessment, faculty, scheduling, accreditation, and budget. Each Vote row is scoped to a tenant and stores fields such as id, tenantId, proposalId, stepId, voterId, voterName, value, comment, createdAt, updatedAt. These fields hold the data Chalk needs to track a vote as faculty, staff, and automations work with it. Because every Vote row carries a tenantId, one institution's vote data is never visible to another.
