Workload config — department id

department id (WorkloadConfig.departmentId) is a field stored on each workload config record in Chalk, the higher-education academic operations platform for curriculum, assessment, faculty, scheduling, accreditation, and budget. It holds a String value and is part of the workload config record's data. The departmentId field belongs to the workload config it is recorded on, so faculty, staff, and automations read or set departmentId while working with that WorkloadConfig record. Because departmentId is part of the WorkloadConfig record, it stays consistent with the rest of that record's data and is scoped to the tenant that owns the workload config.
