The createdBy field on an Analyte provides an audit trail showing which team member defined or imported the chemical record. This is useful when reviewing a custom analyte added during lab data import — you can see who created it, whether it was added intentionally or as a by-product of an automatic import, and follow up with that user if the name or casNumber needs correction before results are committed.
